Accounts & Cash Flow Analysis
Enter multi-year financial statements, build an indirect cash flow statement and test the reconciliation to reported cash.
MODEL SETUP
Company information
INCOME STATEMENT
Profit & Loss Account
Enter income as positive figures and expenses as negative figures. Subtotals and profit measures are calculated automatically.
FINANCIAL POSITION
Balance Sheet
Enter closing balances. Changes between years feed into the cash flow model where appropriate.
INDIRECT METHOD
Cash Flow Statement
Cash flow is calculated automatically from the P&L and balance sheet for each year after the opening comparative year. Use supporting adjustments only where non-cash movements or exceptional transactions mean the balance-sheet movement is not a cash movement.
Supporting cash flow adjustments
Enter signed corrections to the automatically derived cash flow figures: positive for an increase in cash inflow / reduction in outflow, negative for the reverse. Asset disposal proceeds and other investing / financing cash flows are entered as actual cash movements.
FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
Financial Ratios & Trends
Ratios are calculated automatically from the profit and loss account, balance sheet and cash flow statement. Review definitions and assumptions alongside the results.
FORWARD-LOOKING FINANCIAL MODEL
Financial Projections
Build projected financial statements using historical performance, operating assumptions and proposed investment funding.
